So, you want to learn affiliate marketing? Well, no pesky customer service is definately a plus. However, you have to split the profits with the owner of the product. In other words, your margin for error is slimmer. And to learn affiliate marketing takes time. In my humble opinion, it is well worth it.
Yet, you want to, need to, give it a try? Well then, testing is vital. As an affiliate, you need to test everything. Testing is always important, but even more so with affiliate marketing. Test your PPC campaigns, and drop any dogs and let your winners run. Constantly tweak your landing page, the saleletter, and make sure you have a 'one time offer' after the person has bought the item, so you can generate more income. If even 10 percent decide to buy the OTO, thats 10 percent more in income than would have been otherwise.
For those of you that are new to internet marketing, I know that all sounds overwhelming. I'm not all that 'techie' myself. But testing and changing your website, not to mention of course, building it in the first place! are absoluately vital. Therefore you need something called an HTML Editor. The one I use and the best one I've seen is called XSitePRo. You can check it out HERE
Once you have an Editor you can change the website as much as you want. Do split tests, using two different domains. You need web hosting of course. The one I use and one many 'guru's' recommend, is called ThirdSphere. You can check it out HERE FONT <>
Now, whats needed when you are an affiliate? An affiliate program to belong to! There are several big boys out there. Like, Clickbank and Commission Junction. My advice is to mostly steer clear of those. The competition is intense, and most everybody seems to congregate there, searching for programs to sell. The only time I'd say its ok to promote a product from Clickbank and CJ is when its brand new. A high quality product from a well known producer can have quite a bang in the first few days. Assuming they list the item immediately on CB or CJ. Often its a buyer only affiliate promotion initially.
Other than that, I'm afraid its a case of researching and hunting for the good products to promote. Affiliate marketers need an edge to succeed. The competition is so intense, probly only 20 percent are in profit. I want you to be in that 20 percent.
How to find those hidden treasures and products that are about to be released? Join newsletters in whatever niche you have a passion for and read everything that is sent to you. Then its a matter of trial and error whether the product will fly and be profitable for you. Its pretty hard to be certain beforehand. But do testing and your winners will far outweigh any losers.
Please note. Any product that you promote you MUST get to know it well. You can imagine promoting something you know nothing about and haven't gotten to try out, or read, if its reading material. I mean, imagine selling something and you don't really know what it does nor whether its actually any good? How woiuld you feel buying from a seller who is like that?
I am sincerely trying to help you here. You are here for a reason. You want to make at worst, an income on the internet. There is alot of garbage promoted online. Make $10000 in 2 days while your eyes are closed, and other such nonsense. I don't want you to fall for all the lies and crap and get spun out after a few painful months, many thousands of dollars poorer. There is a better way: start right immediately. I wish I had. Trying to find the quickest and fastest path to an income. We all want easy money naturally, unfortunately it doesn't really exist. Unless you are Paris Hilton of course;)
The only other ingredient you need to make it in affiliate marketing and indeed, in internet marketing itself, is ACTION! You must must MUST take action if you want to make a living online!
Its very easy to plonk down in front of the tv after work or in the weekends, but if you want out of the rat race, you need to use discipline and work your internet business at least two hours a day. And don't stop learning! There is SO much to learn bout this business. Read as much as you can. And I'll help you as much as I can. Its not rocket science, as the saying goes. Not even brain surgery, but there still IS a lot to learn. These pages are enough to get you pointed in the right direction. Of course, you still need to learn how to learn to use an HTML Editor, as an example. Not to mention uploading your webpages to your webhost. But if you don't know what to do with your webpage and how to go about it, then having the best looking webpage in the world won't matter a hill of beans.
Absorb what you read here. Then APPLY it. I may not be a well known marketer yet, but I will be. Thats a promise. And the information I have given you within these pages is Gold. I find Internet Marketing fascinating. And what I've learnt and am applying myself with pleasing success, I am writing down here.
